Transportation Theme

My 2 year old is in love with anything that goes, so I am going to run with it and develop a transportation theme to teach him more about all his favorite things while introducing letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. I am really excited about this but also a bit apprehensive as to the work involved. I tend to overdo things, so hopefully I can keep myself in check and remind myself that he is only 2 and to keep it simple and fun. Keep it simple, keep it simple, keep it simple...if I keep repeating this to myself perhaps it will finally sink in.
